The Cinematheque Reviews: Unknown

With allusions (and delusions) to The Bourne movies, Unknown is a silly, nonsensical, plot-hole-riddled, common-sense-addled pseudo-espionage thriller with one of those twist endings that even the most naive of moviegoers will see coming the proverbial mile away.  It does have Diane Kruger (Bridget von Hammersmark her damned self!) doing her damnedest to make it a much better movie than it really is, but alas, her lone energetic performance ends up being an insufficient morale-booster for the rest of the movie.  It has January Jones looking superb in evening wear as well (though Ms. Kruger still out-sexes her) but alas once more - it is never enough.   Whatever the case, my review is up and running over at The Cinematheque.  A bit late, but up and running nonetheless.
